PORTLAND, Maine - Sharon Hartl, Occupational Therapist at New England Rehabilitation Hospital of Portland (NERHP), was presented the Clinician of the Year Award for 2006 at an employee recognition ceremony held May 23, 2007. This honor recognizes an employee for their outstanding performance, clinical skills, caring, productivity and dedicated service.

"Sharon is a seasoned clinician always working to improve her skills," stated Amy Morse, CEO. "She is excited by the challenge of patient care and strives to best meet her patients' needs. She is a teacher and a student."

Hartl, of Scarborough, recently assumed the role of Stroke Program Leader at NERHP. She has also been actively involved in the Fall Prevention Committee and Patient Safety Committee.
